Anatomy
The parts of a Habano.
Capa
The wrapper is the leaf you see, and the greater part of what you taste. It is graded on veining, oil and evenness of colour.
Capote
The binder holds the bunch in shape. More than any other component, it governs how evenly the cigar burns.
Tripa
The filler is the blend within: long leaves of ligero, seco and volado. It determines both strength and combustion.
Banda
The band identifies the marque. On a Habano it is applied at the factory, and no two houses use the same design.
